One-off Wonders

Tessa Marchington, Founder

As well as all our weekly office choirs’ carol concerts and performances this Christmas season, we’ve been spreading the festive cheer through one-off singalong and performance sessions across town.

We’ve had participants very young and old(er), seasoned singers and those new to group singing – but all resulted in some beautiful music!

We kicked off on 7 December with world harmonica champion Philip Achille entertaining the Shawbrook Bank staff at their office party. His unique playing surprised and delighted the crowd as always.

The music continued to flow with a singing workshop at Endemol on 12 December, and we had a busy day on the 13th with a very jolly Christmas Singalong with SEI in the beautiful Alphabeta Building at lunchtime…

…and a Christmas singing workshop delivered by Hannah Brine at Deloitte Digital in the afternoon. Feedback from Deloitte included this from Senior Manager James Glaysher:

“Can I just say Hannah was brilliant. She turned a suspicious bunch into harmonising singers! And we sounded great too! Excellent”

We have to agree – they sounded amazing! I’ll be sharing a video clip on my Linkedin page if you’d like to hear for yourself.

We finished off our season of singalongs today with a special session at Enotria with some very young singers – thanks Enotria for making us part of your fabulous family day!

It’s been great to see seeing people join in, let go of preconceptions, stand together with their colleagues and have fun at these inspiring events.

Thanks to everyone who has made these events possible and so successful – Penny Andrews, William Grobel, James Glaysher, Nyree Brocklehurst, Harriet Kininmonth, Gemma Bolton, Hannah Brine and Philip Achille.

One-off singing workshops are a brilliant way of bringing your team together, whether in celebration or motivation – a perfect pick-me-up for Blue Monday which falls on 15 January next year for example. Contact Catrin@musicinoffices.com to find out more.
