Harry Bradford is a prize-winning conductor and choral director based in London. A former choral scholar of King’s College, Cambridge, Harry graduated with distinction from an MMus in Choral Conducting from the Royal Academy of Music where he was also awarded the prestigious DipRAM and the Academy Alumni Scholarship for a ‘singularly distinguished studentship’.
During his time at the Academy, Harry was also the Genesis Sixteen Conducting Scholar 2018-19 working with Harry Christophers and Eamonn Dougan as well as the Alec Robertson Scholar at Westminster Cathedral. Alongside being the conductor and co-founder of the professional vocal ensemble, Recordare,
Harry holds permanent positions with the Thames Philharmonic Choir, the English Baroque Choir and the North Herts Guild of Singers alongside his education work for the Pimlico Musical Foundation. Recent career highlights include being the Runner Up in the prestigious Eric Ericson Award in Stockholm, working as Chorus Master with MDR Rundfunkchor, Leipzig on Vaughan Williams’ ‘Sea Symphony’ at the Gewandhaus, making his Cadogan Hall debut in a performance of Monteverdi’s ‘1610 Vespers’ with ‘His Majesty’s Sagbutts and Cornetts’ and conducting The Sixteen as part of Es Devlin’s ‘Come Home Again’ exhibition at the Tate Modern.
Forthcoming events include conducting CPE Bach’s ‘Magnificat’ at the St Endellion Easter Festival and concerts in Sweden with the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir and the Swedish Radio Choir.
