MIOnline

We’re going online and we’re so excited to enter into this new virtual age of Music in Offices. So far, we have received great feedback from our clients who are taking lessons online or attending their virtual choir lessons via Zoom.

For more info on how to sign up to our virtual music lessons email catrin@musicinoffices.com or to join your virtual office choir email rob@musicinoffices.com.

“My lesson with Angela went well, it feels slightly strange at first to be doing it online but I got into the swing of it very quickly! We found it worked for her to have the music so she could follow as I played, and I just put my phone on the music stand and was largely able to ignore the fact that she wasn't sitting next to me as usual!”

Alongside our weekly choir and tuition sessions we are also hosting our own Online Singing Sessions. In addition to these we also have a series of musical videos to keep you learning and enjoying music while at home.

Choir Rehearsals

We’re constantly learning and adapting how to run online choir sessions. The technology isn’t quite there to take the rehearsals how we normally do but bringing our singers together is now more important than ever.

We’re put together a few tips to get you started-

If you’re struggling to set up Zoom in Music Mode follow this guide

  • For choirs, ideally use your company’s current online conferencing software otherwise the best option is Zoom in Music Mode
  • Grab your headphones and remember to use the mute function when needed
  • Stand in a singing position as you normally would
  • Depending on your internet speed, try turning off your video and using voice only
  • If you're having problems get in touch with either your teacher or Rob@musicinoffices.com
  • Check our Youtube Channel for Online Resources

“I know this is a trying time and everyone is in the midst figuring out new ways of working. I wanted to shoot you a quick note to let you know how great my first remote lesson was with Francesca. I was a bit apprehensive about the whole thing, but Fran put me at ease right away..... It was so nice to be able to take a break from work, see a friendly face, and continue learning and tweaking the songs we’ve been working on this term.”
