Piano Teaching

Dr. Robert Szymanek is a Piano Teacher and Performance Coach with a PhD from the Royal Academy of Music. He teaches classical, contemporary, pop, improvisation, composition and theory, with clients including professional musicians, actors, university-level students and amateurs alike. His coaching style draws from his research and training in psychology, with his lessons offering fun, focus and a deeper understanding of our musical minds, helping students realise their creative potential.

Gamelan Workshops

Dr. Robert Szymanek has been a Workshop Leader of Indonesian Gamelan since 2005. He is Course Leader in Gamelan Ensemble Performance at The University of Manchester, and has performed and lead workshops at major festivals and venues, including WOMAD, Southbank Centre, Cadogan Hall, and in Indonesia. His fun, dynamic approach to teaching brings energy to the room, gets people listening, learning and laughing together, and discovering their creative potential.
