Mary Anne grew up in Suffolk where she first started to learn the harp. She studied Music at St Peter’s College, Oxford University and went on to train as a Music Therapist at the Guildhall School of Music, qualifying in 2012. Since then she has taught both Clarsach and classical harp and worked in a wide range of clinical areas with both children and adults, and more recently has offered singing for lung health classes through the British Lung Foundation (now Asthma and Lung UK). She is a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs who enabled her to set her up music therapy social enterprise in 2017. She teaches the harp at Sheffield Music Academy, where she is also fundraiser for their educational projects.
Mary Anne is in her final year as training as an Inter-Cultural Psychotherapist at the NHS Tavistock Centre.She loves teaching harp for MIO and also providing Heath and Wellbeing workshops for their clients
