Vicente Magalhäes is a pianist, teacher and composer based in London. After studying in the Lisbon conservatoire from the age of 10 he moved to England to do a degree in Music at the University of York and became very active in the UK music scene immediately after graduating.

He is trained in both classical and jazz and regularly teaches both styles to students of all sorts of different ages and levels of experience. Over the course of more than a decade he has worked with hundreds of students, led several workshops across the UK and Portugal and helped run the Leeds-based music therapy project for the neurodivergent, Bringing it All Back Home.

Some highlights of his performance career include headlining the Lancaster Jazz Festival, being featured on ITV news and being selected as a performer for Abbey Road’s experimental VR recording project.
